The spaced-repetition algorithm shows you the words you are about to forget. If you see a new word and mark it as learned, the app will show it to you again after 180 days. If you don't mark the word as learned, the app will show it to you again after 7 days until you mark it as learned. If you mark the word after seeing it second time, you are going to see the word after 90 days. This way, you can see all the common words and memorize the words more effectively.
